Community Action
AAUW-Morgan Hill members are active volunteers in the community. Members may create and implement local programs for girls and women. The branch may recruit volunteers, co-sponsor programs or provide publicity for local non-profit organizations. Branch support is conditional upon the organization's goals being consistent with AAUW's mission: AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy and research.
GEMS: Girls Engaged in Math & Science. - This unique AAUW-Morgan Hill group mentors girls in grades 8-12 through field trips, speakers and activities in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math. For more information: - Go to GEMS or AAUW member contact.

Candidate Forums – During election years, AAUW-Morgan Hill hosts or co-hosts a local candidate forum. In addition, the branch publicizes other local, non-partisan candidate forums.

Learning and Loving Education Center - Branch members volunteer regularly at the Center, helping immigrant women develop English proficiency. Math Mardi Gras – This annual free day of math competition and learning for students in grades 2-12 is sponsored by the American Institute of Mathematics and its outreach arm, Morgan Hill Math.
