Local Scholarships
In addition to Tech Trek scholarships (for local middle school students to attend a summer math/science camp), AAUW-Morgan Hill awards annual scholarships to local graduating high school seniors and students attending community college.
High School Scholarships
Each spring, AAUW-Morgan Hill awards three $1000 scholarships to young women entering college, one each to graduating high school seniors from Live Oak, Ann Sobrato and Central Continuation high schools. Students completing the “Common Scholarship Application,” available at their high school and due for submission to the high school counseling office in early December, are considered for these scholarships. Finalists are interviewed by an AAUW member panel. For an application and further instructions:
- Live Oak High School - Go to Common Scholarship Application
- Ann Sobrato High School - Go Common Scholarship Application
- Central Continuation High School - Inquire at the Counseling Office
Community College Scholarships
AAUW-Morgan Hill annually awards several $1000 scholarships to women currently attending a community college. Students may apply through their Community College Financial Aid Office or, preferably, complete our Community College Scholarship Application. The AAUW-Morgan Hill scholarship committee will review the applications and conducts interviews with the candidates to make final selections.
AAUW-Morgan Hill scholarships are awarded to women attending community college who best meet the following criteria:
- Re-entering college after a break
- Have a connection to Morgan Hill, either as a graduate of MHUSD schools or as a resident of Morgan Hill
- Plan to continue their education at a four year institution
- Have genuine financial need
Enrollment Verification
All scholarship money is paid directly to the college that the student is attending after enrollment is verified. See Student Enrollment Verification Form.
